And, best of all, the new BlueChart g2 features a choice of new 3D “mariner’s-eye-view” map perspective, or the familiar 2D direct-overhead view – to make chart reading and orientation easier. Like all BlueChart cartography, the new g2 version is styled to match the appearance of paper charts, when displayed on your Garmin chartplotter. Features include shading between depth contours, spot soundings, navaids, port plans, wrecks, obstructions, intertidal zones, restricted areas and more. Sharp, colorful, finely detailed graphics let you see every cartographic contour and feature, with a minimum of panning and zooming to bring the chart data into focus. BlueChart g2 cartography is offered in the form of preprogrammed data cards, which can be plugged directly into compatible Garmin chartplotters for easy data loading or updating.
